In this sequel to the highly acclaimed ON THE ROAD TO ALANG, ocean liner historian Peter Knego makes his second and third pilgrimages to the shipbreaking yards of Alang, India in the summer of 2005.

Visit the former Costa Line’s 1966-built flagship EUGENIO C (beached for scrapping under the name BIG RED BOAT II) and follow Knego through monsoon-drenched Gujarat in search of important maritime treasures.  Accompany him on visits to the 1944-built EXPLORER (originally the P2 transport GENERAL W.P. RICHARDSON, rebuilt multiple times to serve as a liner and cruise ship) and the PRINCES (originally the DFDS ferry PRINSESSE MARGRETHE).  Also witness the metallic carnage of the RIKY, the former Danish Railways ferry KONG FREDERIK IX.
