Price: $150.00 SOLD
These delicate but classically shaped chairs were removed from the former RMS WINDSOR CAStLEʼs tourist class staterooms at Alang. In blue and red leather upholstery, they are conspicuously absent from any brochures illustrating the interiors of the Union-Castle liner in her heyday. However, brochures from the 1948-built RMS EDINBUURGH CASTLE and the SA ORANJE (ex PRETORIA CASTLE) show these identical chairs in those shipsʻ tourist class staterooms, albeit with cloth upholstery.

One of each.
A red chair.
A blue chair.
The most likely scenario is that when the SA ORANJE and RMS EDINBURGH CASTLE were sold for scrapping in 1975 and 1976, respectively, these chairs were saved and put on board the RMS WINDSOR CASTLE. Regardless, they are elegant-if-simple remnants from the British Blue Water Liner heyday. Very limited quantities in each color.
